MAMA MARY MOTHER OF THE POOR SHRINE TO BE BUILT IN BATANGAS CITY, PHILIPPINES

                                                      

     The Shrine of Monte Maria which overlook the Batangas Bay  and the Verde Island Passage will soon be constructed in barangay Pagkilatan, Batangas City. The Shrine is a "proclamation of love and faith and the Goodness of God, a steadfast companion and a guide for travellers around the world".  "Monte Maria is  a center for healing and spiritual rejuvenation, an International Center of Apostolate for the poor and  a place for evangelization and spiritual renewal". These were  the proclamations of no other than Fr. Fernando Suarez, founder and leader of the project called Mary Mother of the Poor Foundation (MMPF). 
     Monte Maria is a haven for pilgrims and not only a place of prayer, but also a fervent prayer itself. It is a shrine dedicated to Mary, Mother of the Poor, sanctuary of pilgrims and devotees to renew their love for Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother. It is a refuge where the tired soul can withdraw to find peace and solace, and thereby discover how Mama Mary comes to the aid of those in need of strength and consolation, the poor in society and the poor in spirit.
     MMPF is an apostolic endeavor with the aim to "seek holiness in evangelizing and working with the poor through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary".  More about Mary Mother of the Poor...
